Hiking tip – Rauhfels
The Spirkelbach Rauhfels is a wonderful alternative for the less experienced hikers, one of the many sandstone formations in the Palatinate forest which can be ascended without climbing. A starting point for the hike is the town center of Spirkelbach, from there it takes less than 50 minutes to ascend the cliff. The trip is worth the effort since from there you can see terrific views over the Wasgau into France.
